My name is Steve Thornhill and I am a program manager for ACCESS. I currently manage a program refered to as the Offender Employment Continuum (OEC). The OEC was a program developed by Orange County Departmant of Education (OCDE) working in collaboration with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to provide services for inmates who are 120 days to parole. Our purpose is to provide inmates with employability skills as well as decision making skills in an effort to help with transition back to society. These skills are taught through the use of the "Eight Habits of the Heart" written by Clifton Taulbert.

I am excited to be able to use the knowledge provided through these courses to help foster student learning as well as staff involvement. Can these ideas be shared throughout the program with staff, service providers, and collaborating agencies?
